Visa received

I received my visa today, excitement is building and nerves are finally at their peak. I had a wonderful time with my son in Vancouver. Our last long day together before I leave and it was so relaxing. Suffice to say, He keeps me grounded through out the years and I will truly miss him when I have to go.

For those of you deciding to uproot your life and explore new horizons by exposing your strengths and weaknesses to their limits, please take a serious look at your life and then make a decision. An inspiring quote from Jodi Foster, "I’ve always believed that the world is what we make of it," has lead me on this journey to come out of my present box and explore life to its fullest.

Here is a few more inspiring quotes that have comforted me in my decision to travel abroad to help other children learn and hopefully change their lives for the better.

"It is very difficult to go back and make a brand new start, but you can always start from the now and make a brand new ending."

"Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it." Mythologist Joseph Campbell

We were born with choice but through the year, we have been conditioned to give that choice to someone or something else. Through parents, family members, school, religion, society around us, law enforcement and politics, we have somehow changed. The free nature toddle within us has changed many times over throughout the years. You cannot control what life throws at you, but you can, however, control how you react to what life has thrown at you.

It is now my time to take a LEAP of FAITH and trust my own instinct in life. Remember, at the end of the day...life is only what YOU make of it. Join me on this fantastic journey of change and inspiration.

Departure soon

At the end of July 2010, I will be leaving for Taiwan. My nerves are building up and the adventure of a life time awaits me. I will try to keep this blog updated as often as I can. Arrangements are presently being made for my accommodation. After a 14 hour flight I will definitely be tired. Stay tune everyone, more to follow soon.

Getting Ready

This has been a long journey already. Three interviews, an application for passport and personal photos of myself. I then photo copied all my educational and passport documentations. Next step was a list of vaccinations I had to update...quite a long list. I'm so glad that is over with. I HATE needles!! Finally, my traveling visa and flight tickets.

The excitement builds within me and the eagerness to commence is NOW. More to follow soon.
